We are showing the first museum exhibition of paintings and drawings by the artist Aren Shahnazaryan.

"The centre of my artistic work is to examine and question the creation of a picture using painterly means. In doing so, I always pursue the question of what influence the painter and the picture have on each other in the painting process. (...) I am not the only one who decides on the painting, but the painting also influences my decisions. It is an interactive process, a relationship between the observed object and its observer. This creates a tension that gains the unlimited from the small scale of the work..."
